Walter Boasso, the Republican turned Democrat in order to get elected Governor of Louisiana is stirring up some controversy in order to get elected. First he’s showing his strength by carrying a cutout of Bobby Jindal around, I suppose that shows how strong he is. He even put the cardboard cutout of Bobby Jindal up on stage at the Municipal Association meeting in Monroe, La this past Friday night. Maybe he’s not showing off his strength, maybe he thinks that’s the only way he can get a picture with Bobby Jindal.
I know one thing, I’m embarrassed that I was at one point planning on voting for the guy. That embarrassment is only strengthened by his latest advertisement in which he states that if we elect him Governor, he’ll support bringing our troops home. Does this mean we ought to be mad at Kathleen Blanco for sending our troops to war?
There they go again, trying to get the stupid vote. Are there really people out there that believe electing Walter Boasso governor of the state of Louisiana will bring the troops home quicker? If that’s his campaign theme, perhaps he should run for Senator or Representative where he could make that sort of change.
At least I’m not pointing out that Walter Boasso missed pointing out that food and Walter Boasso go together, oops, never mind.
While looking for Boasso’s new ad, an advertisement that has nothing to do with being Governor, I stumbled across another video from one of the little guys that Walter Boasso is so keenly looking out for, that video can be seen here. Apparently this is part of Boasso’s track record. If a rich guy like Boasso can’t take care of this issue, how’s he going to take on the much bigger issues facing Louisiana?
I’m embarrassed because when he was a Republican, he fooled me. I’m embarrassed because I once thought this guy could actually do a good job for the state. I’m embarrassed because I once believed in this guy to do the right thing, but it’s becoming painfully obvious that he’ll do what he thinks will further his own political career and the impact that will have on Louisiana is of no significance to him.
As much as I don’t want to have a Governor whose name reminds me of soup, the Democrats would serve their selves
well, better if they would just vote for Patch Campbell. He may have a Newt Gingrinch high on cocaine look to him, but at least we know where he stands.
One thing I’d like Patch Campbell to promise us, if he’s elected Governor, will he promise to let somebody else drive?
