The Era was the early Twenty-first Century
To our dear great great grandchildren,
We hope this writing finds you healthy and well. By the time you are old enough to read this the year should be near 2060. As your great great grand parents, we pray you are still living in the greatest country in the world. We faced many obstacles in the early Twenty-first Century that gave us great concern for the future of our nation. We were born and did live in the GREATEST country known to mankind. Our country was founded on truth and principle being based on God given rights (We pray you can still say God’s name in your time without fear of retribution) guaranteed to our population by our Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and Bill of Rights. (Google it, if google is still around) Something happened that changed the way people thought and acted and that had a great impact on the deterioration of the very fabric that held our country up as a shining light to the rest of the world, a place to aspire to be, a place with opportunity for anyone willing to strive for it. That villain was EQUAL JUSTICE and FAIR SHARE for all.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
Children, we stood up against an out of control government that attacked the very freedoms that hundreds of thousands of Patriots throughout the years of our history as a country died to protect. We stood against illegal immigration, gun control, out of control reckless spending, increasing taxation, the assault on religions, even attacks on our freedom of speech. This usurpation of our freedoms began long before even we as your great great grandparents were born. It slowly bore its way into our lives through covert legislation that rarely drew our attention. Socialist ideology slowly made its way to our schools as we went about our daily lives. The most elaborate plan to change our way of life was SO covert that few even knew it was taking place. Bit by bit, we ceded freedom for security, a false sense of security that could not be provided without giving up even more freedom. Our biggest enemy was our own apathy towards government and those we elected to represent us.
Children, we never gave up. We did everything in our control to open more eyes to the threat of losing what so many brave Americans fought and died to preserve, the opportunity to live in a free country. We exposed a biased media that continually lied to us and refused to report the truth. We exposed an Administration that lied to the American citizenry and attempted to cover up their true agenda of destroying our economy, our military and our Republican form of government for a socialist, feel good, fair share form of government. A government that puts itself above the masses. We never gave up, we thought of you. You became the fire in our souls that kept us on the path to right to wrongs of past administrations. You were yet to be born but you propelled us to continue the battle for that which is right.
We left this world knowing we did the best we could to preserve a free country for you to live in. If you find yourself in the greatest country in the world, we succeeded. If you find yourself in bondage, we tried our very best but fell to a system riddled with those that hated America and what She once stood for. We never gave up, we never gave in. We did it for you.
