Louisiana’s 3rd Congressional District Candidates Forum

October 9, 2012

Thursday night is going to be busy for Southwest and South Central Louisiana as well as the rest of the nation. Everyone is looking forward to the Biden/Ryan debate with an anxious anticipation of another major spanking by our Republican Vice Presidential candidate, Paul Ryan. Before this debate gets under way, Louisiana citizens have the opportunity to take part in a candidate forum for the hotly contested race in our newly drawn 3rd Congressional District. Four candidates would like to have the seat now held by Rep. Charles Boustany, R-Lafayette,La. Those candidates are Rep. Jeff Landry, R-New Iberia, Bryan Barrilleaux, R-Lake Charles, La., “Ron” Richard, D- Lake Charles, La., “Jim” Stark, L-Lake Charles, La.

The Southwest Louisiana Tea Party is honored to sponsor a non-partisan public forum for all candidates seeking election to U.S. Congressional District Three. This event begins at 6pm in Lake Charles at Inn on the Bayou, 1101 W Prien Lake Rd, Lake Charles, Louisiana above Huddle Up Sports Bar. All candidates received an invitation via registered mail. We plan to run through this forum smoothly and be over in time for the start of the VP debate.

We are also very pleased to partner up with Thinktownusa.com and stream this event “live” online for all of our District Three citizens to view and take part in. A chat session will be employed along with the live stream for citizens to chat with each other and our admin during the forum and submit questions if they feel so inclined. We look forward to pulling several of your questions and adding them to the roster. All questions have been submitted by our member base and other citizens from District Three.

You will be able to log in any time before 6pm with the stream starting live at 6pm. The following link will take you to the forum. Meet your candidates and make informed decisions for District Three and Louisiana.
