Louisiana SamSphere

New Media and Blogging Workshop

The Sam Adams Alliance

Special Guests: American Majority and The Pelican Institute

New media technology is becoming increasingly important to our jobs as political and government operatives, and even as responsible citizens. The work bloggers, wiki editors, and social media participants are doing is important to promote government transparency and to draw in more liberty-minded activists and citizen leaders.

In an effort to build relationships, the above mentioned sponsors have partnered with the Sam Adams Alliance to present Louisiana SamSphere- a one-day event aimed at helping selected political and government activists learn BloggerSpeak, and to help Louisiana bloggers network with each other and build a stronger community.

This invitation-only event is designed to bring activists of all sorts together to find out where their missions and goals align and create a community of liberty-oriented activists who will work together to amplify the pro-liberty message online and offline.

The conference will take place next week on Friday, March 6th and Saturday, March 7th at the Ambassador Hotel in New Orleans.

On Friday (March 6th), Friday evening, we’ll host an informal mixer (Pat O’Briens Bar, 718 Saint Peter St, New Orleans) where you can get to know Louisiana’s power bloggers, new media junkies & political operatives and activists.

On Saturday (March 7th) we will host an all day workshop primarily for bloggers, political operatives, and activists (though you are welcome to attend if you would like to become a blogger or learn blogging techniques) where we’ll help to build a more effective online community in the state of Louisiana.
