·                                 Mary Landrieu
The Manchin-Toomey compromise was a hard-fought but balanced approach that would reduce gun violence and make it much harder for criminals and mentally ill individuals to access guns.

Currently, guns can be purchased online and at gun shows without any background check whatsoever, leaving a gaping hole in our gun protection system. However, even with my support, the measure did not garner the 60 votes necessary for passage in the Senate. I believe that we must do a better job of keeping guns out of the hands of criminals.

I’m confident that most people understand the importance of closing this loophole while preserving the rights of law abiding individuals to own and use guns for hunting, sport and self-protection.

What a way to start an article about our State Senator whom continues to vote Against the Second Amendment and the Constitution!  Here it is plain to see that Senator Mary Landrieu has no problem voting with the other Anti-gun Senators in Washington, D.C.  Is Senator Landrieu uninformed or does she just vote directly in line with the Democrats no matter what the people of Louisiana wish to state! We have to state here that this so-called law would have been the begining of the end of our Constitution and our Freedom had it passed.  Even Harry Reid stated that this was an “Anti-Gun’ bill!  Thank heavens it failed, but we do not and cannot say thanks to Senator Mary Landrieu for that as can be seen above, she thinks it would have been good! There is no loop hole in this law, as a matter of fact, the present background check law can be manipulated by the FBI to keep any Law Abiding Citizen from buying a weapon!  Read the article at:

This article is proof that the present background check laws are manipulated by the FBI!

It would not be so very bad except that even a recent Gallop Poll showed that only 4 % of United States Citizens consider any gun laws important now!  Check it out this seems to show that our Senator Mary Landrieu just does not care or maybe she has her eyes on another 300 million dollars for something!  Senator Landrieu should NOT be voting Against the people of Louisiana like this.  We could show a great number of times that Senator Landrieu has voted right in line with the Democrats, but we will not bore you with that now.  Instead we will show what another article shows with the very small percentage of people even worried about any sort of gun control or gun laws!  Check out the article below to see what we mean.

Now if Senator Mary Landrieu really cared about the people of Louisiana, she would never vote for any sort of Gun Measures!

( – Only 4 percent of Americans think guns and gun control are an important problem facing the country, according to Gallup, and far more Americans are concerned about the economy, unemployment and the federal debt.

In its poll from Apr. 4-7, Gallup surveyed 1,005 adults by telephone and asked, “What do you think is the most important problem facing the country today?”

Respondents answered in the following order:

Economy in general 24%

Unemployment/Jobs 18%

Dissatisfaction with Government 16%

Federal budget deficit/Federal debt 11%

Healthcare 6%

Ethical/Moral/Family decline 5%

Immigration/Illegal aliens 4%

Education 4%

Guns/Gun control 4%

Situation with North Korea 4%

Lack of Money 3%

Welfare 2%

Lack of respect for each other 2%

Poverty/Hunger/Homelessness 2%

Foreign aid/Focus overseas 2%

Taxes 2%

Despite the Obama administration’s strong push for more gun control legislation, few Americans are concerned about the issue.

As Gallup reports, “Few Americans mention guns or immigration as the most important problems facing the nation today, despite the current attention lawmakers in Washington are giving to these issues. The economy still dominates as the top concern, followed by jobs and dissatisfaction with the general way in which Congress and the government work.”

These data “underscore the prominence of economic issues in Americans’ minds,” said Gallup.
