Warning! Fiscal Cliff Ahead
December 21, 2012
Boehner’s “Plan B” has failed and I couldn’t be happier thanks to many who stood against it. I think I speak for all or most of us when I say that significant spending cuts must come before tax increases are considered. Obama is still working hard to convince the media and therefore the public that the Democrats are serious about negotiating and desire a balanced budget. This is obviously not the case. It seems they are looking forward to the unhindered plunge off the cliff.
I believe we can all say thank you to our conservative representatives who have taken a stand against increased taxes. And until a final deal is reached, we need to continue contacting our members and specifically Senator Landrieu.
It’s no secret that Landrieu is difficult to contact. However, we have to try.
You might check out the Defend My Dividend website to easily send her a message. You may not be an investor who earns dividends but those who keep the economy going do as well as many who are elderly and depend on those dividends to meet their monthly obligations. Learn the facts here. There is an online petition at this site that is easy to use and understand. Please complete it and share the link with your friends. Tax increases are not the answer!
Whether you contact her through the website, by form email or phone call, let her know that significant spending cuts and renewing the Bush tax cuts are imperative to a healthier US economy. She must cooperate with her colleagues and constituents. Tell her that you want a balanced budget by December 31st.

In the meantime, about all we can do is continue to fight her liberal spending and her tendency to abandon her constituents to go along with her political party. And remember that she is up for re-election in 2014. With her blatant disregard for her constituents in our red state, whomever runs against her in 2014 will need our full help and support.
